Are you Sunshine Day Camp material?
Working with children is a special opportunity-which is why we take special care of the people we hire! Sunshine Day Camp counselors are sensitive and enthusiastic leaders. They are able to balance fun with safety. Our staff are people-centered and are great at communicating with our parents and children. Most importantly, Sunshine Day Camp staff are role models to the children we serve!

In addition to working for a great cause, here are some tangible benefits of working at Sunshine Day Camp:
- Starting pay is $16 per hour (15-25 hours a week)
- Consistent shifts and schedules
- No weekends - that is right, all shifts are daily, Monday-Friday. Staff must be available Monday-Friday, every day, from a minimum of 2-5 p.m.
- Holidays - we observe and are closed on most national holidays which means you have the day off! Holidays include New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
- Part-Time - all of our entry-level positions are part-time, which works perfectly for college students, or anyone looking for part-time work. While entry-level positions are part-time, we do have several full-time positions at each center. We typically hire from within to fill those positions.
- Experience - whether you are looking to be a teacher, coach, doctor, manager, or anything else, the training and experience you will receive at Sunshine Day Camp can be valuable assets for other job opportunities in the future.
